Reheating Left Overs
Have you ever purchased fast food and then eaten some of it but then got full so you took the rest home with you to reheat later and eat it? I have done that and it does not really work so well. If you reheat a cheeseburger the bun is sometimes soggy and the mayonnaise and the ketchup get warm so it makes it taste kinda yucky. Not to mention that the lettuce and tomato are now soggy and a little mushy and when you warm that up it only makes matters worse. I have gotten a taco or a burrito before and take it home and reheated it the next day. Gross! The sour cream, tomatoes, and lettuce are all warm and slimy when you eat them after you heat it up in the microwave. So I do not really recommend saving fast food to reheat it later unless you are really just so broke that it is all that you would have to eat. In that case, it is a pretty good idea.
There are some foods that aren’t so bad as leftovers though. Cold subs are not so bad to eat as a leftover because of the fact that they are a cold food anyways and you don’t’ have to reheat them. I wouldn’t keep them for more than a day though because the mayonnaise and the tomato will sometimes cause the sub roll to get a little soggy but no reheating is involved to it does not really ruin your sub which is great. Some sub and sandwich places also serve soups and soups aren’t bad at all reheated. Just stick them in the microwave for 30 seconds and they are perfect. Soups are usually meant to be reheated anyways. So next time that you go to the fast food place, if you want something that you can eat part of now and save the rest for later, then get a sandwich, sub, or a cup of soup. You will be much happier later when you go back to eat it and it still tastes good!
You can save money by using Kfc coupons and Mcdonalds coupons at these restaurants.
