Don’t Waste Your Time and Submit Site to Google
Do you have a website? Are you trying to get more viewers on that site? Have you been desperately begging people to find ways to spread the news? Have you tried asking (politely) for Google to index your site and post it along with their search engine results?
Are you still waiting for them to follow up?
Google has a wonderful idea, really – you can send them the URL for your website, and they’ll gladly index the site so they can place it along with other relevant sites on search pages. They would love to help you try to get onto someone’s result page. So they let you take the reins – if their web crawler hasn’t found you yet, you can send them a little reminder to hop to it.
Unfortunately, it doesn’t work very well.
Don’t waste your time and submit your site to Google – it just takes too long! Sure, it will work eventually, but too many people have expressed their frustrations with the program. It takes too long for Google to index their site. Once their site is indexed, it only appears at the very bottom of the search results. It only appears on the pages once in a blue moon. And on and on.
Making money with Google does not have to be an experience like pulling teeth. Google does have several programs that can help your site generate revenue – AdWords and AdSense, for example. And Google can get you more visitors to your site. But you might as well spend your time improving your site, rather than pleading with Google to post it. Google will find – and post – a good website, with lots of links to it. That’s what Google does best. But they’re not going to bother themselves as much with the little whiners on the side. If you want your site to get noticed, make sure it’s a good, informative site. Submitting to Google isn’t going to do a whole lot for you.
