Ideas for Your Fall Wedding Supplies

So many people choose to have summer weddings that most of the venues are booked solid and the ideas for decorations are starting to wear thin.  Why not have an autumn wedding instead?  The weather is cool, the venues generally have spots open, and the decoration and theme ideas are beautiful and endless.  Here are some tips to get you started.

Nature brings out a beautiful set of colors in the fall and is the best place to look for ideas for your fall wedding supplies.  Since a classic association with autumn is the turning of the leaves, you could collect dried fallen leaves from the ground and press them between heavy books and pieces of paper.  (It is best to do this early in the fall, when the leaves are fresh.)

Bare branches make beautiful centerpieces, especially when painted or ornamented with beads, origami, or little charms.  A bundle of small decorated branches can even become the bride’s bouquet.  And don’t forget pinecones!  Easy to paint and string up, pinecones come in a huge variety of shapes and sizes and are easy to collect.  Some stores even carry bags of pinecones if you do not have evergreen trees in your area.

Fall vegetables, such as squash and pumpkins, make for gorgeous fall wedding reception supplies.  You can paint these inexpensive vegetables or leave them their natural hues, depending on your color schemes.  You can even carve jack-o-lanterns for a Halloween-themed wedding!  Fall vegetables come in a wide range of sizes, so shop at local farmers markets and grocery stores to get a nice selection.

Candles add warmth and light to a fall wedding.  Pick candles in fall colors, like orange, red, brown, and yellow, for the center of each reception table.  Or line the aisle with small scented candles — pumpkin, holiday spice, or refreshing outdoor scents are all available.
