The business of full line vending expands upon preconceptions that vending machines are strictly for cheap soda and candy purchases. Many businesses offer relevant products exclusively through vending equipment to compliment other available goods and services. One reason for this is the potential for customer access 24 hours a day and without the need for cashiers and associated personnel. Another is that inventory is consolidated into a single unit and can more easily be tracked for record keeping and sales data.

There are many distributors who offer products exclusively designed for bulk vending sales. Their catalogs showcase everything from toys and puzzles, candy and soda, or even more utilitarian items like simple first aid, over the counter medication and toiletries. What product a vendor offers is specified only by location. Having multiple machines allows a vendor to expand their own product availability. Vending is big business! Understanding popular drinks and snacks enables vendors to offer products unique to their machines. Sometimes the portability of a bottle is more convenient than a cup. This is true in activity centers where many of the clientele have small children. Certain items such as toys and tattoos may be completely unique to the location and provide a sales opportunity that is unavailable by other means.

The versatile opportunities provided through vending allow vending machine owners to reach customers and earn revenue without the capital investment of a large business. Most establishments are eager to incorporate vending into their atmosphere because it increases the overall options for fun and purchases to customers. No other business creates so many customizable opportunities for sales.
